Our Director – Hayley Fisher

Hayley Fisher is the owner and director of MOVEability, and a registered physiotherapist who has dedicated her entire 20+ year career to one thing: helping babies, infants, children and young adults with developmental delays, disorders and disabilities move, grow and thrive.
For parents, that focus makes all the difference. Hayley doesn’t divide her time between adults and children — she has worked exclusively with children since 2006, supporting families across Adelaide, regional and rural South Australia, and internationally. She understands not only the clinical side of paediatric physiotherapy, but the real-world questions parents face: What does this diagnosis mean for my child? What can we do at home? What equipment will actually help? What comes next?

Over two decades of exclusively paediatric practice, Hayley has developed deep knowledge and hands-on skill in:
- Early intervention for babies and children with delayed gross motor development — with or without a diagnosis. You don’t need to wait for a label to start helping your child.
- Movement disorders, including practical, family-friendly management strategies
- Spasticity management and rehabilitation following neurological surgical procedures
- Preparation for, and rehabilitation after, orthopaedic surgery
- Common orthopaedic concerns such as flat feet — with clear, honest advice about what needs treatment and what doesn’t
- Equipment recommendations and ordering guidance, including mobility aids and orthotics, so families get the right supports the first time

Because paediatric therapy is always evolving, Hayley invests heavily in ongoing professional development, including:
- Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), Level C training — one of the most advanced levels of this intensive, evidence-informed therapy for children with motor delays
- Paediatric Gait Analysis and Orthotic Management (OSKAR) — an Optimal Segment Kinematics and Alignments approach to rehabilitation
- Typical Movement: Analysis and Integration into Paediatric Practice (ABNDTA)
- Typical Child Development (ABNDTA)

Tina has worked in the community paediatric disability sector for the last 10 years.
Tina is a Senior Physiotherapist who has considerable experience and skills working with children with disabilities, in particular children with cerebral palsy, developmental delay and ASD. Tina’s core areas of work also include hydrotherapy and reviewing and prescribing specialised equipment.
Tina is passionate about working with children and their families and helping them reach their goals.

Catriona has 15+ years of specific paediatric physiotherapy experience and has worked extensively both in the hospital setting and in the community.
Catriona has a passion for working with babies, children and young people. She has many years experience working in a multidisciplinary team with babies and children with delayed development, cerebral palsy and global developmental delay. Catriona has extensive experience treating babies and children with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions such as hip dysplasia, foot deformities and plagiocephaly and torticollis, to name a few.
She is passionate about family centred care and education, empowering families, children and young people to have the knowledge and motivation to make lasting positive changes in their own health and wellbeing.
Catriona worked as a Physiotherapist in France for several years after gaining equivalency of her degree, where she met her now husband. When Catriona is not working you will find her with her husband and four young children exploring the Adelaide Hills where they now live.
Veronica Zalanyi

Veronica has 18 years of experience working with children with acquired brain injuries, cerebral palsy and developmental delays.
Veronica has worked across the full spectrum of paediatrics within Adelaide and the UK within acute hospitals, community and private practice including Women’s & Children’s Hospital and Novita Therapy Services. For the majority of Veronica’s career, she has worked in the areas of paediatrics and physical rehabilitation.
Veronica is passionate about working with children and their families to help them achieve their goals.
Mel Mason

Mel has 16 years experience working with children and their families both in the community and within the acute care settings of Women’s & Children’s Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre.
Mel has special interests in the areas of early intervention and paediatric physical rehabilitation and has spent much of her career working with children with acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy and developmental delays.
Mel is passionate about helping children to reach their potential across all life domains and to achieve their functional goals by working collaboratively with families, educators and other health professionals involved in their care.
